I have said in my earlier blogs there is not much you can do about human errors except for vetting diligently for the best bus drivers and training them over and over again on all aspects of safety and defensive driving etc...

However you must also equip them with well built buses with all the EUROPEAN standards safety features. No Malaysian built or imported to Malaysia buses ever go a roll over test that ensures that the bus frame does not collapse. CONSUMERS must be protected at all times with the best safety measures... How can we become a developed nation when out public safety record is among the worst there is in the world!

Yesterday 27 Thai tourist to Malaysia died unnecessarily! Accidents happens but the casualty shouldn't be unnecessary death!!

My Earlier Blog on issue, written in 2007...

Transportation: We are reading daily how buses are involved in accidents, roof ripped off and people die. Why is this happening? Easy to blame bus drivers and bus companies, but is this really the root of the problem? The real problem is that the "Bus" themselves are not safe. Before we blame the drivers and bus companies, we first must have buses constructed to the highest safety standards. Buses that can with stand stringent impacts and roll over test. We don't need to re-create these safety standards, the European and Australian bus construction standards would be sufficient.

Currently our tour buses and city buses are built with welded frame work with metal or aluminium plates and covered with foam core and fabric, without any safety bars imbedded. Welded frame means that it is literally welded like those guys who welds your safety grills at home! Yes roofs are also welded to the frame. Then the bus seller just draws up a plan (yes with proper engineer doing it obviously), writes a detail report on specifications and submits it to the JPJ (Department of Road and Transportation) for approval. JPJ officers drive the bus around and says ok...there is no crash test or rollover test done! After PUSPAKOM brake test and other road worthy tests, JPJ issues permit. Bus is then on the road. But safety is never tested!

Why do we allow the construction of welded buses, because its CHEAP. Go visit our bus manufacturing plants, it does not take rocket science to build a bus, just welding skills. Even our buses bought from China is built the same way. But at same plant buses built for the European, American and Australian market are built differently. In most bus accidents the bus chassis is left intact but the bus body that comes flying off. Ask JPJ Technical Department officers if you don't believe!

JPJ need more personnel and expertise and equipment to do all the safety testing. They need the funding.

As for Drivers and Bus operators they need to be tested and inspected better also. JPJ needs money to do this. Better bus driving schools needed. It wont cost the government billions.

Having everyone able to access the broadband does not make us a 1st World Nation, but have a better quality of life via public safety does.

Am sick of PKR and ZAiD IBRAHIM

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 252px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/S9mjVfFQIJI/AAAAAAAAAHk/lyMGYJGHIRE/s320/bt_06.1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465579212306915474" />
I dont follow politics much anymore because PKR makes me sick and they make politics into one big joke. Keep it simple..you lose an election means you lose...no need to give reasons because the other side did this or did that..fact is the majority in Hulu Selangor just dont like you..so be it. If you had won you would have gloated how the you are heaven sent to change the face of Malaysian politics and so on and so on...

BN have lost so many By-Elections that maybe they should just stop contesting all together, but i don't see them declaring elections results are null and void and accusing the other side this and that just because they lost!!

Zaid Ibrahim got rich because of UMNO and BN...his firm at one time got mandates for loads of government privatization legal work and so forth...but as usual men with money needs power...greed does it everytime!!!

My simple analysis is he is gunning to take over the PKR leadership..Anwar better watch his ass!! With all the trouble Anwar is having which isn't going to go away anytime soon, wouldn't you think the thought never cross Zaid's devious mind!! Yup he wants to be numero Uno at PKR. I think DAP and PAS would also prefer Zaid then baggage lugging Anwar!!

Back to losing...if you win you win with humility...if you loose just suck it in and fight the next fight...no need to say its because this and that...you loose you are the only one to blame...you just didnt do enough or maybe in this case they didnt like your sorry ass face!!!

Cheers Zaid!!

F1 Sepang Malaysia 2010

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 149px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/S7tk6z7EivI/AAAAAAAAAHc/HQn9dIlmoeY/s320/DSC_0218.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5457066335022648050" />

"Malaysian GP targets 100,000 fans Reuters - Tue, 06 Apr 09:10:00 2010 Buzz Up! Their refusal to prove to Malaysians that they can rule the 5 states they have won well but instead is preoccupied in trying to make Anwar Ibrahim (AI) Prime Minister of Malaysia is very selfish politics.

Now we have got pressmen being attacked....as usual PR Politicians says its conspiracy by the 'enemy'. Why can't they just investigate and accept the fact that some members of PR are rowdy and overzealous ...as with some members of BN. The leadership cannot say they know every single member of their party or supporters. When AI is investigated by the police they say its conspiracy and the police are slaves to BN, but when pressmen are attacked they say wait for the police to investigate.. so when it suits PR the police are ok when it doesn't the police are bad.

PR have not applied for any permits from the police for their 'ceramah' (gatherings) because they are in defiance. What is wrong by asking for a permit to hold ceramahs? if the police deny you the permit you can always declare the police as being bias and hold your ceramah anyways!

If PR win they will tepuk dada ''beat their chest" and say see the rakyat (people) do support us.. The obvious is control prices of necessary food items i.e.. rice, flour, sugar, salt, milk, chicken, meat, fish...etc.

2. Reduce interest rates for housing loans and taxes on homes less then a RM600,000.00

3. Reduce taxes on cars, this will allow all middle class Malaysians afford better made car with better safety standards and fuel efficiency. The lower middle income can then afford the smaller cars instead of daily putting their lives at risk with motorbikes.

4. JPJ to abolish road tax for cars less the 2500cc. But all cars under 2500cc must pay a RM20 registration yearly for administration fees for yearly stamping their registration cards to show proof of insurance. JPJ can make money via selling government printed car number plates at RM50 per pair. Thus there will be no more confusion what is an allowable number plate font size or choice of material plates, eliminating ambiguity of 'fancy' number plates. All citizens from the Kin, Prime Minister to the ordinary folks will all have the same type of number plates. Maybe the colors can vary for the King or Prime Minister or from state to state. The tender for special numbers can still be conducted by JPJ. Singapore, Thailand and even Philippines have done this along time ago.

5. Malaysian drivers needs re-education on driving. Many need to know how to use the indicator lights when changing lanes or making turns or stopping. They need to know where they can or cannot park, Malaysians drivers love to double park and park at corners which make it impossible for other cars to turn. JPJ can pay more attention to these re-education programs. Enforcement by the Traffic Police and Local Councils must be consistent.

6. Companies owning heavy vehicles ie, lorries, trucks, buses etc. must ensure these vehicles are in good maintenance at all times to ensure public safety. JPJ/Puspakom must ensure all vehicles inspected are in compliance to the strictest safety standards. Again enforcement must be consistent. Owners (Company Directors) must take responsibility for any public liability due to mechanical failures by said heavy vehicles.

7. Creation of standardise and integrated sidewalks being at least 2 meter wide at all urban centers and 1.5 meter suburban housing. This is to ensure pedestrian safety.

8. Al public and private educational Institution (schools, colleges and universities) to have sufficient parking, waiting bays for cars and buses. This is again to ensure public safety and minimal disruption in traffic flow.

9. All areas or buildings (commercial or institutional) ie, Shopping Complexes, Convention Centres, Stadiums, Mosques, Churches, Temples etc where mass public congregates there must be sufficient parking and proper management of traffic flow.

10. Creation of pocket public parks instead of huge unpersonal parks for the daily use of citizens. Creating pocket public parks are more manageable in term of cost for developers and city councils. Maintenance of said parks are much easier. Mega parks should only be part of the natural ecosystem or defined urban green lungs. Mega parks must also incorporate wildlife corridors.

11. Protection of Rivers is a must. All development (ie. squatter housing, illegal housing, etc) within the river reserve must be stop period. No questions or appeals to be entertained. NO development in terms of any man made structures whatsoever along the river reserves. Water front projects are allowed only at river mouths and urban areas taking into account at all times the well being of the river. A River Police Enforcement Division dedicated to the well being of Malaysian rivers must be set up.

to be continued...

Signages...its a NON issue...PKR Penang Still Useless

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/SIePhKMs8-I/AAAAAAAAAFQ/Faoq9dzVwe8/s320/warningsign.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226303692422837218" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/SIeNUYnojPI/AAAAAAAAAFI/D_x4wQlnxM0/s320/streetsign.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226301273932336370" />
Road Signages should not be an issue debated at the Dewan Undangan Negeri. Where in the world does a country adopt more then two languages for its road signs (usually in their respective national language and in english)? This is total provocation on the part of an irresponsible state government. There are planning and city laws on how road signages are erected. It has to do with type of Font, Size of signage, Visibility of signage, Material of signage, Colour codes used, Place of Erection and so forth so that the City Councils Public Liability will be protected at all time. You PKR politicians have no respect for laws is it? And the Gerakan signages are ridiculously big, disrespecting the National language. Why can't you people in power be it PKR, BN or whatever deal with real issues when dealing with urban matters (real issues when dealing with any matters) and not provoke racial ones. Real issues as in better side walks for pedestrians, side walks without poles erected everywhere, roads and alleys with sufficient street lights to prevent crime, cleanliness at hawker centers, better management of drains and rubbish, and put up decent signages where it is needed... STOP this racial provocation on something that has been agreed upon for the last 150 years.

By the way, Melbourne (Australia) and Vancouver (Canada)... both have a high percentage of Chinese population...(they get more foreign tourist than Penang also) but do you see street signages in Chinese characters...NO...because everyone abides by the law of the land and not just simply creates their own. In fact we don't have to go far...Singapore..full of Chinese..full of WORLD tourist....do they have road signages in other languages?

The Debate...Anwar Vs Shabery

Personally I think it was a waste of time AI is just repeating himself over and over and Shab was just repeating the government's stance on the matter of oil issues. AI is using oil issues as a political mileage and Shab was just jabbing.

The raise in oil prices is inevitable but to counter that the government must find solutions for better wages, reduce in prices of cars, housing, goods and most of all food items.

Stop protecting the national cars, we will have better cars at lower prices.

Stress on developers on building better homes, we were already paying exorbitant prices for housing way before the fuel crisis.

Higher taxes on sin items... cigarettes and liquor/beer/wines etc. Higher taxes on IPP's earnings. Banks cannot make more then RM500 million in profit a year, access should be channeled back to depositors.

Encourage agriculture reforms so that we will produce sufficient basic food, rice, produce, poultry and dairy etc.

Stop wastage's is government spending.

Foreign Press

The foreign press reports on Malaysia is totally bias. They don't know Malaysia and what this country is all about. They just make simple assumptions and will write in support of anyone who sounds like a Freedom Fighter. Let me ask them, is Abdullah Badawi known as tyrant or a dictator? Has he committed any crimes of oppression? Has the opposition been stop from holding political speeches? I think AB's mistakes are only related to having unpopular political and economic decisions which he is trying to rectify. The current Cabinet is made up of representations from all races in Malaysia.

Malaysia has elected a government to rule. It has also chose a bigger opposition. Can AI stop all hoopla about being the next PM by September and concentrate on running the 5 states that his member parties have won. By the way if it wasn't a fair elections as claimed why did the opposition win Selangor a very rich state. If it was rigged the opposition wouldn't have won anything. But now they do have 5 states and 72 MP's in Parliament. Run these states well and maybe we can all believe you.

What Malaysians want is a leader that can take us forward. For now the majority have elected BN as the ruling party still, so can we let them rule and make policies for our betterment. Malaysians also have chosen a bigger opposition representation, so that the check and balances are there. If this BN government fails to deliver our expectations with the next 5 years maybe we will elect the current opposition as government. Currently all the opposition has to do is just prove their worth ruling in the five states that they control.

To both sides, stop the political bickering, just get the country running again. The Rakyat is more important then any self centered political agenda.

Malaysia....Half Year Assessment

Half a year gone by what has Malaysia got... MIC political killing (unsolved), MCA sex scandal (solved..brave man admits his mistakes confronts his accusers not go for Turkish back rub), kidnapped child (unsolved), general elections (solved, still same ruling party but weaker, more opposition voice is good), Oil Price up (expected but not by 40%!), No Confidence vote by coalition member SAPP (if you don't want to be part of the government or the opposition , join Ibrahim ALi! don't be a lalang or wild grass swaying in the wind!) AI accused of another sodomy allegations (what can i say, did the Turkish rub down help? Face your accuser, swear on the Quran and be done with it, if you didn't do it then you didn't la! You are mud slinging with the best here, you of all people know it!), DPM accused of being involve with murdered Mongolian (again Mr. DPM your opponents are the most skillful at mud slinging, so watch for that sucker punch!), Statutory Declarations (it doesn't mean anything i guess, anyone can make any declarations and take it back!) and what else.....oh yes ...who is running the country?

We have an elected government yet the opposition still wants to rule it tomorrow! Can the current federal government just get on with running the country properly and deal with the peoples daily problems. Can PKR stop creating havoc everywhere and prove themselves at running the 5 states that they rule with what they had promised. Rule well in Kelantan, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor maybe you can make the rest of Malaysia believers. And just maybe by the next election you might win more seats and be the next Federal Government. But wanting to rule the whole country tomorrow is not going to help anyone least the rakyat. To AI we are not living in a police state, you are not under house arrest, you are not a freedom fighter and you will never be (freedom fighters don't run and hide!), you only have political foes (but that is the job you chose, so thus come the competition). You are free to move about and to have your political rallies even after the elections. No one dares to say anything to you, without you saying we are all wrong. However, we will not sacrifice the peace and harmony of this country for one man's quest for power. Neither we will take the lack of or slow response by the PM to our current woes sitting down. Mr. PM please formulate faster solutions to solving your rakyats problem with the raising cost of everything.

No more Drama's we want solutions!

Rakyat=The People

AI...I really don't get it...

AI accused of sodomy, he runs to the Turkish Embassy..why? You say your life is threaten and the Malaysian Police can't help you, you seek refuge in the Turkish Embassy yet left your wife and kids outside! I don't get it, wouldn't you fear for the safety of your wife and children to. How can a man leave his wife and children to face the media, public and any 'real' threats and yet he sits comfortably in another man's house? I don't get it.

A real 'leader' or man would face his accusers or his problems head on. He would stand his ground for his beliefs and convictions without fear. That is how all real so called liberators are. But then again I guess AI isn't one. Correction to his wife's statement...your husband is not this country's leader, he is not even an MP, he just PKR advisor at moment, unless PKR give's him a new title. 'De Facto" Leader is just a media term!

How do you select a personal aide? Wouldn't an aide to the man with such 'importance' as AI be selected with great scruitiny. You would just want anybody to be his personal aide. You would choose someone with experience, someone you know not only based on his work but also personally. And in this case you would also want to know who his family is. The firsts thing that you would look for is does he have ties to the 'enemy'! "We were to busy to check.." is not an excuse! So I really don't get it. I have interviewed secretaries and personal assistants, made background checks and just within an hour learned alot about the applicants. Its not rocket science.

Can the opposition especially the PKR, please not speak as though you are all under house arrest or gaged without a voice! You have won 5 states, you are in the media consistently, you have 78 MP's and yet you talk as though you holed up somewhere without air to breath. There is no restriction to any of your movements. Again why does AI need to run to the Turkish Embassy, you can seek refuge in the houses of 5 state Chief Ministers (I am sure Mr. Lim of Penang can protect you and so can Tok Guru in Kelantan).

To the current Government please ensure that our resourceful PDRM (Malaysian Police) protect AI and family with great care. Don't let any harm come to them. If not the AI drama will not end.

I pity our PM, not only he is the scapegoat for everything wrong in this country, now he as party leader must also deal with accusations of conspiracy. Maybe our PM have certain weakness in running this country which is a combination of many factors directly or indirectly related to economics and political decisions but I really do not think plotting AI's downfall via sexual overtones is one of them.

Whatever it is... i really don't get this AI drama. We already have an elected government, some states is ruled by the opposition but most states is run by the current government. It's a good mix. We now have a record number of opposition in parliament, which is also good. So why can't our politicians ALL of them just carry on with the job of running the country properly and formulate ways for ALL us Malaysians in overcoming our daily grind. Those politicians with inner demons should be brave and face their demons head on and not leave it to others to deal with it.

This PM just don't get it...

Have you seen some of the images that people are putting up of you...do you not still get it...we want you to manage our expectations not rob us blind.... people are calling you a liar... how do you sleep at night...

<img style="display:block; We all know only the Continental and Japanese cars fit those categories. Safer so that the airbags can protect the passengers during an accident, safer that the car is made of materials that can allow the airbags to work, not cars which crumple so fast at even during 25km accidents that does not even let the airbags have time to work. Better built means cars that are not death trap sardine cans. Fuel efficient means better fuel management via advance ECU's.

Take the example of the desktop printer, the printer itself is usually cheap and reliable, but the cartridges that make it work are expensive. If you have both the items expensive no one can be productive?

It Pisses Me Off....

I haven't been writing in awhile....been just been reading and listening alot....the following just pisses me off...

1. Car Prices - The car prices in this country is just ridiculous and a scam! Why do we have to keep protecting Proton and Perodua or any other so called local car manufacturers? Why do we need to be forced to buy substandard cars in design, built quality and maintenance? Why do we have to pay ridiculous amounts for AP's (Import Approval Permits)? Why do we need keep supporting a substandard local manufacturers? If they can't build proper cars that can compete in the global market why should we be the ones stuck with it without a choice? Local car manufactures are a joke, Proton and Perodua are based on Japanese cars. Seen the Perodua Nautica? It a re-badged Toyota made by Diahatsu (Rush and Bego). Naza re-badges Kia's from Korea and Peugeots. Inokom is re-badging Hyundai's. We have protected Proton/Perodua/Inokom/Naza long enough, its about time the fly on their own and face the reality of real competition. It does not take rocket science to be profitable if you are protected all the time. It PISSES me off!

Malaysian middle class (lets take those who makes between RM60,000.00 to RM92,000.000 a year) should be able to buy a decent car with the quality of BMW's, Mercedes or even Toyotas without giving up 3 years salary and awhole lot more money in interest. A 3 Series BMW in the US cost anywhere between RM92,000.00 (that is less than a Proton Perdana!) for the low end and RM138,000.00 for the high end (with Taxes). Yet for a basic 3 Series here it starts at RM238,000.00 or so. If the government can't give us nothing else at least give us a better quality of life. Why should only rich Ministers and MP's or the rich should be the only ones enjoying luxury in this country when we all pay our dues? Why can't we all own better cars like the rest of the developed world? Why does the government import taxes have to be so high? Just to protect Proton and Perodua's who build half baked cars? Why do we still have the crappiest taxis in the world? In the old days before Proton we even have Mercedes as a normal Taxi, it was comfortable, spacious and safe. Now we have small outdated Proton Sagas and Wiras as our base taxis. Why do we need to ride cars which are poorly made or ride buses which breakdown or inconsistent in schedule? Why do the rakyat have to pay and suffer for protecting Proton/Perodua? Why? It PISSES me off!

PASSENGER CARS (PETROL ENGINES)
Import Duty (Year 2000, still similarly the same now):-

Up to 1799 cc 140% of CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight)
1800 cc - 1999 cc 170% of CIF
2000 cc - 2499 cc 200% of CIF
2500 cc - 2999 cc 250% of CIF
3000 cc and above 300% of CIF
- Import Duty for passenger cars with diesel engines is set at a flat rate of 120% of CIF.
- Sales Tax is calculated based on 10% of (CIF + Import Duty charged)

The Import duties are ridiculous! The above is not yet inclusive of AP prices and dealer profit margins! And where does this tax revenue goto, we are still paying high toll rates, our road are still full of pot holes and uneven resurfacing! Now we are also paying for higher fuel! It PISSES me off!

2. Public Transport - The announcement that more public buses will be on the road will not really benefit the public! It will only benefit bus suppliers who are government linked! These buses will always breakdown due to being poorly made and badly maintained, thus they will never be on time. If you don't believe just try waiting for a bus in Taman Tun or Petaling Jaya that actually goes to your destination. The middle class will always need cars, we need to goto meetings for the company within the shortest time possible, that can't happen if you depend on the bus! RAPIDKL should change its name to CRIPPLEDTURTLEKL. I will write about the impracticality of the LRT/Monorail/ERL in another section. It PISSES me off!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/SFUre6Zc-wI/AAAAAAAAAEI/0WagAL4X3Xs/s320/P1000877.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212119953823300354" />

3. Interstate Buses- Read my earlier article on how buses are manufactured and why so many people are killed during bus accidents. We do really need to look at the European or Australian Specifications on bus manufacturing. The current welding and riveting method of constructing buses can no longer be allowed to be practiced, is does not have public safety as its first priority. Go and ask the JPJ Technical Department do they do a roll test on the buses prior to approval of the bus chassis/frame construction? the answer is NO! Wearing seat belts on interstate buses won't help if the roof came flying off! These are things the government should be looking into... PUBLIC SAFETY. It PISSES me off!

4. Entertainment Allowances - It boggles the mind why the PM and Ministers have entertainment allowances in the first place! They go to any function, if private the tabs are paid for by the host, if government it's paid of by the relevant government agency. They host foreign dignitaries or guest the government takes the tab. Their residence, maids, cooks and drivers are paid by the government. So what do they use the entertainment allowances for? Can someone tell me? They should not have this allowance at all, instead of cutting just 10% they should give it all up! We can use it for orphanages or the hardcore poor or just towards saving the environment. It PISSES me off!

5. Mega Projects - Please enough of these mega project ideas! Just formulate projects where it benefits the rakyat, provide real jobs everywhere and that do not damage the environment. Mega Projects without real substance that only benefits a handful of companies or individuals just PISSES me off!

6. The Economy - Does the government really know what they are doing with economy? Or are they just plucking half baked ideas from the sky? Because that's what it feel like!

to be continued.....

World Class Parks....

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/SCtRNPX5-8I/AAAAAAAAAEA/HQxsKhAX0Qc/s320/New+Prague+Park-Minnesota.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200339482636319682" />
what does that really mean....Billions more dollars wasted in projects that would only benefit a small community of people... What we need is parks that are next to our home not places where we have to travel to... It should be mandatory that all housing development have 30% park space. One main central parks and many pocket parks. We have river reserves that could be turn into linear parks and wildlife corridors instead of being turned into illegal housing schemes... Components of a parks should not be wasteful monuments but practical basic components such as handicap accessible pathways wide enough for pedestrian and bicycles, gazebo for storm shelters, kickabout areas, play structures for various children age groups, sufficient bins and benches, and good signages and lighting. When space/budget permits specialized par course, reflexology zone, play courts, skateparks or waterparks can be incorporated. Plantings should be kept to structural trees and palms only. Shrub plantings are high maintenance. Generally the basic park concept should be adopted without wasteful decorative add ons. Lighting's should not overly decorative but practical in lumination and maintenance.

So please explain to me what is a world class park? Does DBKL really understand the word PARK and what is the purpose of PARKS? We need more community pocket parks through out the residential neighbourhoods not more wasteful carnage. There are many DBKL or government owned land with natural terrains that can be identified as parkzones.

Stop being obsessed with being WORLD's BIGGEST, BEST or WORLD CLASS... if you do it right you will be all that by just having the locals appreciating it. The best parks are parks that are kept natural and practical.

Visit Taiping Park, FRIM Kepong, Putrajaya Parks and KLCC Park if you want destination parks. Visit community parks in Kota Kemuning and Sunrise Seremban for practical examples of community parks.

So Raja Petra is in jail...

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/SCEFNIqSlLI/AAAAAAAAAD4/hPNqe3piUyY/s320/n_03petra.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5197441168183563442" />
from The Star http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/5/7/nation/21167472&sec=nation

.... so he stop writing his nonsense for awhile..good also. Changing governments or people who run the government wont guarantee there is no corruption or that new people wont have their own interest at hand. Did AI do any better when he was with BN. LKS & son are hypocrites and so is KS and son (by the way KS, when Sultan's and sons give their 2cents worth of advice, just listen only la, no need to show disrespect!) Also most PKR members are those who could not cut it in BN and turned we are holier than thou...

Come on la RPK not all bloggers are the opposition or BN or at war with the government, some of us just want real leaders with honesty at heart when serving the people and have Malaysia keep on prospering. Until that reality comes we will keep on commenting on the stupidity and the ridiculousness that mediocre Malaysian politicians (BN and PR) keep cdishing out.

Maybe time away will make RPK think abit about what he writes, you cant condemn or say nasty things all the time about everyone without them ganging up on you...then again maybe time out doesnt change anything about him... whichever i 'm glad the ramblings have stopped for awhile!

and another thing...please stop talking as tho u represent all us bloggers....bloggers should stay independent with independent opinions.... if one blogger is FOS (full of shit) we will have an opinion on him too...

Dato' Zam Should Stop Speaking

"KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad must shoulder some of the blame for Barisan Nasional's worst-ever performance in the recent general election, says former Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin." (Star)

You were ridiculous when you were Information Minister and you are still ridiculous now. What has Dr.M gotta do with anything. He is retired and just speaking his mind like he always has. I rather listen to Dr.M then to AB or AI anytime! The fault still lies with the current UMNO wishy washy leadership in which Dato' Zam should have never been made Information Minister off. Dato' Zam was the reason for the UMNO/Barisan not seeing the impact/influence of the internet on the people. He is backdated and ill informed. I think for an Information Minister he doesn't read much. His handling of the Al-Jazera interviews on the opposition demonstrations was badly done and very unprofessional.

The loss of the 5 states to the opposition is all the fault of the current UMNO, MCA, Gerakan and MIC leadership. They all heve become so arrogant that they forget who elected them and what their real job is. All 4 Presidents should resign. The Chinese are the real economic power in this country. Over 35 years or so of the NEP it still have not made Malays anywhere near the success of the Chinese in economics and business. Yes it has produce more middle class Malays but that is about it. We still depend on the Chinese for every single thing from going to market to renovating our homes. Now we are not even in control of the political power.

Don't blame the others we only have ourselves to blame for our lack of competativeness, we are just not born to compete. We could blame the British for bringing over competition but that is like blaming your dad for your adult failures...

If you dont believe me just count how many Malay owned/manage companies are there successful in construction, development, manufacturing, trading, retailing, franchising etc. Not more then 5% in any industry.

Case Study the Construction Industry: all successful contracting companies from Class F to Class A are all Chinese companies, all specialise trade are Chinese owned, all building material suppliers are Chinese owned, cement supply is owned by Chinese ect. Do you think the Chinese suppliers give the Malay contractors the same credits a Chinese contractors gets...i think not. The only Malays involve in Construction is either a consultant or the Jawas that work as general labour. With the lifting of the NEP in Penang, the Malays contractors will now never get a job again.

Do a simple survey on how many luxury cars (benz, beamers(BMW), audi's etc.) are owned by Malays as compare to the Chinese, data won't lie Malays mostly own Peroduas and Protons!

The real economic/spending power is still with the Chinese. Just go to IKEA on Saturday or Sunday, 75% of IKEA's customers are Chinese. Starbucks are mostly patronised by Chinese. Why do I pick these stores? Because they represent "lifestyle". Lifestyle mean you have the economic/spending means to have the good things in life. Fact is most Malays can't afford IKEA, most Malays are still low income and is stuck at Courts Mammoth (because it seems cheap and you can pay in installment). Its also a fact that 95% to 100% of retail shops at shopping malls are owned by the Chinese.

Don't get my writings wrong I am not critizing the Chinese. For them business, making money and competition is second nature after breathing. Their leaders will always push to get the best deal for their community. The problem is that the Malays still have not woken up. With the current leadership in UMNO we will still be asleep!

Banking for the Everyday Guy in Malaysia..

BANKING SYSTEM : A better banking system, where banks actually care for the customers and not just say so in adverts only. The current banking system does not help the small businessmen (entreprenuers) or encourage entreprenuership. If you have no money to begin with the banks wont help you. Malaysian banks wont take any risk with small businessmen and new entreprenuers period. When they say the have a policy to help SMI (Small Medium Industries) as per the government's request....reality is 'small' they wont help, they only start with 'medium'... you wonder why alot of small businessmen turn to 'Ah-Longs' (Loan Sharks)...that is the reason.

To get a bank loan you need colletral, a good & consistent payment history, and a bank manager who is your friend! Colletral is hard for the small guy, especially when he has already mortgage the house to support the business or something similar to that. In business especially small businesses client payments are never puntual or consistent. If you are a supplier to PLCs and the PLC who is suppose to have money cant pay you...you are then screwed with your banks. Sometime payments by clients take 3 to 6 months, i have known a PLC that take 2 years to settle payments!. Lastly not everyone has a friend who is a bank manager.

If your are late in payment or your overdraft is over drawned, banks wont listen to your excuses..well maybe the first time....after that they will close your account. There is a certain foriegn bank that even profile their customer, if you don't have what it takes they make up some excuse and close your account. Banks also dont care if you have been their customer for 20 years, all they care about is how much you have in the account. Malaysian banks don't believe in a having a relationship with the customer, they only believe in how much money you have.

The government must make sure the banks help those really in need of help and not act like GOD Almighty

Another reason why Barisan Nasional Failed!

Penang DAP is just silly...

Mr. Lim new CM for Penang really got it all wrong! It is one thing trying to correct the previous government's mistakes but it is another thing waiving City summonses. Government Policies and Public law are two things. Government policies on state development are debatable but public law isn't. The Law is keep the public behavior in order, waiving summons for indiscriminately parking motor vehicles and not having the proper license to trade clearly sending the wrong message to the public.

People who disregard parking laws should not be let off free. We already have congested urban centers. Decent motor vehicle users should no be further subjected to the behavior of the few ill mannered road users who park their cars at no parking zone, at street corners and at all other places where they hinder the free flowing movement of traffic. In fact people who do not know how to park or where to park should not be driving cars. Yet DAP Penang is condoning this behavior. Malaysians all like to park as close as possible to their targeted destination. If it is a bank, they will park right inside the bank lobby if given the chance. Malaysian's just don't like to walk. We are a developed country with third world thinking, and Penang drivers are the worst of the lot. Penang drivers not only don't know how to use signal lights on their cars, they are also don't know how to park properly.

At the rate they are going DAP will make Penang lawless, parking summons will be the start of it all. Soon traders will disregard their liciences, there will be the sprouting of all illegal vices....Penang will a tourist destination for sure...but for all the wrong reasons...Penang DAP is just silly...just like asking Anwar Ibrahim to be elected Alternative PM, where got such title under the constitution.

Harsh Lesson Learned..I hope..

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/R9XXEWnNpLI/AAAAAAAAADw/amVWYG-FwI4/s320/pic16944.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5176279816521753778" />
Sunday the Barisan National (BN), the ruling political party of Malaysia should have learned a harsh humbling lesson, the people want change and that the BN elitist politics will not be acceptable anymore. Yes I voted for BN because I believe in stability in government first and foremost and also because the opposition is no better. BN now know the harsh realities on the street, that peoples grievances must be heard and take action upon.

BN has become an elitist aristocratic political party that has become unapproachable. The perception that BN politicians and friends are getting richer while the economy of the nation is on a slide is doing UMNO/BN great damage. The BN top management priorities are not focus towards the needs of the people. The leaders of BN component parties such as UMNO are to busy jockeying for position and status forgetting the Malays, MCA leaders are the same and lost its focus on the needs of the Chinese community, MIC is only run by Samy Vellu (thank god he lost, now good riddance) and PPP's Kaveyas was out only for himself...

Well losing is losing! So how can BN and UMNO improve or ready themselves in the next elections...here are some suggestions...

1. UMNO: Get rid of the arrogance, don't think people are stupid and total reinvention of how the party functions is necessary.

2. UMNO: Badawi/Najib needs to take blame for the losses. So I suggest they resign and elect an interim UMNO President and Prime Minister. When someone take responsibility, we then can work past blame and move on to healing. Elect a man who can command respect from within and from the opposition. Tengku Razaliegh Hamzah would be a suitable candidate. He would bring old school respect and abundant political experience. He is also a sound politically strategist. But that is my opinion...whom ever the person my be it cannot be the Badawi or Najib.

3. BN: New political/economic strategic advisors. People who understands the balance between the entwined correlation of political decisions and economic decisions. For every political decision automatically effect the economy and vise versa. No more listening to family members or ex-journalist or ex-teachers... listen to real political analyst and economic advisors who are in touch with the masses. Surveys on the needs of the masses must be done on a quarterly basis.

4. BN: Candidacy: when "parachuting" parliamentary candidates one must really analyse if they can win or not. You cannot expect with two weeks or less that a candidate based in one place to win the hearts of locals in another place. Look it even takes you a week to get a girl you just met to go on a date, that's if she likes you. What if the locals are not agreeable to the new candidate? Major problems will arise and the campaign machinery won't move. BN cannot afford to speculate..

5. BN Intelligence: BN needs stronger intelligence network, to gather as much information possible on contested areas and what the opponents are doing. Each candidate must not only have a professional Campaign Manager, but also PR, Planning, Logistic, Intelligence, Catering and Paraphernalia Officers.

6. Subsidies: Current subsidies (Oil etc.) must not be tampered with, but to be improved. You cannot raise salary one day and the next week also the price of Oil... then the price of goods all go up also. Government is not to be in business of a having a balanced check book, but is in the business of keep the people feeling financially safe, secured and seeing progress in all aspects of development (be it business, healthcare, education, religious etc.)

7. UMNO/BN Materialistic ways must be distanced from. The people don't care what you have , people care about what they don't have only. See the peoples problems and solve them. Get off the throne and walk the streets..check reality...

8. UMNO/BN: Do not deny the truth. Do not live in denial.

9. UMNO/BN: Serve without personal agendas, serve the people who have elected you without prejudice.

10. UMNO/BN: You had policies wanting everyone to be IT literate and internet savvy, yet UMNO/BN is not. Do not deny the power of the internet. Zainuddin Maidin got it all wrong.

11. Heed the advice and wisdom of Senior Politician (Tun Mahathir, Lim Keng Yek, Ku Li etc.)

12. During the UMNO general assembly let the delegates all speak their mind. There you can here the voice of the Malays. Leaders cant be scared to take criticism not matter how harsh. Its better to argue in house then to be beaten in public. Presidency of UMNO should be challenge without prejudice. Only the best should leaders should lead UMNO.

(TO BE CONTINUED)

Malaysia Decides 2008: A Simple Plan...

I am a man with a simple plan, go to school then college, get a job I like, marry a pretty gal, have beautiful children and live a comfortable life... if god provides me with extra wealth then I am further blessed and as always grateful. Simple plans are not always so simple, I struggled through school, college was really hard work, now I do a job I really like but its my own business which have many ups and downs. I married that pretty gal but relationships are harder work. You cant live on love alone, a man must not only provide financial and physical security, he must also be sensitive and thoughtful. He just cant be married, without learning to be a husband. Well I learned all that the hard way. But I do have that beautiful child and do lead a somewhat comfortable life... having your own business have its daily ups and downs...

Now what has all the above got to do with how Malaysia Decides this 2008 Elections, for me its everything.. I was reading the opposition manifesto.. they promise things like.. 100 billion foreign investment in 5 years, will cut oil prices, will use Petronas money to give to the poor, no toll roads or lesser toll charges, minimum wage at RM1500 per month.. etc.. Well to me these are just simplistic plans to win votes, but when you get to the real deal it is very much harder to do. For a 100 billion (if it really can happen) in foreign investment what do Malaysian have to sacrifice, will others become our Masters again... remember nothing is for free! How are they planning to cut oil prices when the price of crude oil is raising globally, do they intend to subsidize more via Petronas coffers? A no change to oil prices within the next two years would have been a realistic goal. Mind you Malaysians already enjoy the best oil price per litre in the region.

If there are no toll roads, how are the highways going to be maintain, is Petronas going to pay for that too! Lesser toll charges is great, but it must not compromise road maintenance. If minimum wage is set at RM1500 Malaysia wont be destination for foreign investments, so how do you suspose to reach the 100 billion mark in 5 years. I am all for better minimum pay, but it has to be a realistic figure. Giving money to the poor will make us a welfare state, people will become much more complacent and totally be dependent on the government for free assistance. What the opposition suggest will deplete the Petronas coffers in a hurry.

The manifesto of the current ruling party looks like a comprehensive plan that covers all areas that need improvement. However I suggest that the ruling party to look within itself for better personnel and improve the management of the country. Firstly we need a new Information Minister who is confident, well read and speaks eloquent malay and english or any other local language. Secondly, there are various other non performing Ministers that should be axed. It is also about time MIC gets a new representatives and national leader. Be it the Barisan or the opposition, the candidates must all be ready to serve the people without condition.

Malaysian Elections 2008 : Nomination Day 25 Feb 2008

Yesterday I attended my first nomination day rally at for Bukit Gantang (held in Taiping), Perak, Malaysia. It was a good experience. It gave me a first hand view of what the election means to Malaysian and who I rather vote for. The BN or Barisan Nasional (or National Coalition Party) have been ruling Malaysia for the last 50 years. It has had its ups and down but in that time Malaysia has progressed so much. The Opposition today is made up of PAS (Islamic Party of Malaysia), DAP (Democratic Action Party) and Keadilan (Justice Party). Who would I vote for in this election... I will stick to Barisan Nasional, why? Because even with their short comings I can see rational ways to solve problems. The opposition is ridiculous in their pitch plus there are many other reasons why I wont vote for them, but Sunday's rally reminded me why I shouldnt. The following photos was shot by myself...it tells the story...

<img style="display:block; There are reasons why road signages, posters, banners, advertisements etc. are regulated by DBKL. KL sidewalks are not only narrow at most areas but they are also clutter with multiple road signages, banners etc. If everyone who think they have a so called brilliant idea erects any type of signage without regulated approval, there would be signages everywhere. Who suffers, pedestrians do. Not only pedestrians have to contend with narrow sidewalks, they are already dodging existing objects erected on the the sidewalks, additional ones won't help.

In which multi racial city in the world do we see road signages in 2 or more languages. London is full of other races do we see the road signages in multiple languages? Do we see Paris road signages in different versions, nope they are all in French! Los Angeles apart from the white caucasian population is full of Mexican, Koreans and Japanese plus numerous other races but still the road signages there is only in English.

I guess its due to the Election period, so any political mileage will do...

By the way there are also reasons why road signages are of a certain colour and material (visibility and vandal proof)..

Malaysians do not need road signages to teach us to be Muhibbah (for the children schools and parents should be teaching that!). Road signages will not make us anymore or less Muhibbah.

2008 Malaysia Thus Far

14 days into 2008 and here we in Malaysia already having a negative start, sex scandal, professional hit and another child kidnapping.

Sex scandal, not much else to say, at least Dr.Chua had the decency to resign.

Professional Hitman killing a politician, lets hope the cops do their job and find the killer and those who paid for the hit. I doubt they will catch anyone, the commitment, intelligence and capability of the Royal Malaysian Police Force (PDRM) in solving any crimes at the moment is in doubt. This will be another unsolved senseless killing.

Child Kidnapping, what can I say, the girl was kidnap only kilometers away where they found the last victim's body. What is our PDRM doing in seriously solving these crimes? If they need real CSI's from the states ask for it, but do something, how many more children must die at the hands of these sick criminals. What was the parents thinking of not watching other their 5yrs old child? Letting her play alone outside and all. Whatever excuse the parents give they are also accountable and responsible for their child's welfare and security.

Personal experience with the PDRM, late last year my mom's house was broken into by burglars, luckily the police patrol unit arrived within 15 to 20 minutes before anyone got hurt. The burglars manage to escape. But what disturbs me is how the Investigating police officer does the investigation. All he did was take the statements of those inside the house. The forensic officer was just walking around the house not taking any photos or finger prints. They did not really check for escape route or any perimeter search except for visually looking at the yard. After about 15 minutes they left, leaving their phone number and where to collect the report. Is this how police investigations are done? Is it normal practice? How can they expect to catch any criminals? No doubt there are many cases which they solve but to what percentage of the crime done?

I really hope they find the kidnapped child alive and well. Find the killer or killers of the Johor politician and to all other person in power Dr.Chua has set the example, if you have done morally and criminally wrong please resign and pave way for other morally capable leaders.

Malaysian Indians and RM1 Million... seriously...

I really don't get it.. does anyone really think that the British Government is going to pay up.. I am sure the organizers of the march are learned and well educated...they are qualified lawyers from what i read.. do they really think the British are going to pay up... we all know there are other hidden motives for the march.. why not just plainly say what you really mean and want...

The early immigrants all suffered to an extent, those who worked on estates and the mines all suffered hardship. But in time with hard work situation improved, hardships overcomed... income improved, living conditions improved... and the original choice of coming to Malaya paid off. Imagine if they did not take the boat over, then the chance of a better life for future generations would have not happened.. Now there are Indian lawyers, doctors, teachers, vets etc. Of course not everyone was so lucky and still there are those who are still poor. That's the way the world is nothing is fair for everyone...some have it some don't... but it does not keep us from trying harder...we don't give up and take the easy way out, we keep on working harder and keep on going...the poor are not only among Indians, but also among Malays and Chinese. Each community must not just wait for government subsidy and assistance in helping the poor but each to take their own initiative. Malays have the "zakat" as one way in which an individual can contribute to assisting the poor, the Chinese have many communal associations which does the same. On the larger scale of course the government seems to be trying to eradicate the extremely poor. If you think they are not doing enough for your community then change your community leaders, get leaders who will work for you instead of blind siding you..

Asking RM1 million per head is ridiculous no matter whichever way you look or analyze it. Should the Chinese now sue the British on behalf of their ancestors for being laborers at tin mines, and the Malays sue the British, Dutch, Portugese for slowly causing the demise of the Malacca Sultanate or something ridiculous like that... while we at it why not as Singapore to give up to Johor since it was originally part of the Johor-Riau Sultanate...

Astronaut Vs. Two major issues with no real solutions are not looked into seriously enough. 1. Crime Wave 2. Killer Public Transport (Bus) accidents.

Since TM is a corporation, let them find the funds and plan the broadband upgrades themselves. If not just give out more licenses to new companies to operate and expand the broadband services. In the ICT development world there are to many hidden cost that are hard to quantify. Consultancy rates for research and procurement of data alone runs into millions and can turn into just a 500 page report. Then they would come up with the infrastructure plans, another 500 page report costing alot of money. But if the government just ask TM to spend their own money, they would be more careful and prudent. Why would you want everyone on broadband anyway? Must every sigle person in Malaysia be broadband savvy. Can spending RM15billion make everyone be connected via broadband...well they should be if thats the case. One way to get everyone wired up easy without the government bearing cost is making it mandatory for all developers of new housing scheme, commercial and industrial building to "wire" up ready to to connect to the TM broadband system. TM can just build connecting points to them via cable or wireless.

Crime is really out of control in this country moment. Just read the print news...corruption, rape, molestation, murder, snatch thieves, burlgary more corruption and more rape... the Police force needs government help. They need money for more quality man power. They need more "brains" to solve crimes. The need expertise not in just physical police work, but in forensic, logistic and better equipment. They need better public awareness campaigns. They need better salaries. Shouldn't billions be spent here instead!

Then the bus seller just draws up a plan (yes with proper engineer doing it obviously), writes a detail report on specifications and submits it to the JPJ (Department of Road Transportation) for approval.

Wee Meng Chee... are u really Malaysian

So after 50 Years of Independence this is the kind of child Malaysia has produced, ignorant and self centered...maybe the Taiwanes way of life got to him...Mr. Wee are you really proud of your son, how do you face the Muar community everyday...

If you come across cops who asks for money simply don't offer or give money to them, just take the ticket and pay the RM300 fine. Malaysia isn't the only country in the world where police take bribes. All police forces in the world do it...the worst are cops in the US and China. Solution don't offer, just pay the fine! By the way chinese in Malaysia don't like being cops or joining the army because of the low salary and unappreciated lifestyle, cant make any real money there...but selling pirated DVD's, running around as gangsters are cool jobs...Owning massage parlors aka prostitution dens, karaoke clubs, exploiting young women (malays and chinese) are also OK jobs for them...

Ya..ya.. just because we are not as materialistic as the chinese, malays are lazy... what kind of analysis is this?...are all chinese are money/material hungry bastards?...how long are we going to have this silly argument...its never ending...what matters is that in Malaysia 70% all of its population gets to eat 4 meals daily, the other 30% gets to eat 7 meals a day and are obese...so what is the real problem? Do we Malays stop the Chinese from getting rich? 500 top PLC's (Public Listed Companies)how many are Chinese owned?

Any government agency in any country in this world is slow at processing anything, that's is a fact. Ever trying to renew your student visa in the UK, you go in at 7am, you will be lucky to leave at 4pm. Is it any better Taiwan? Where people spit everywhere on the streets and practically naked girls sells peanuts on the streets and gangsters own everything...

Now slagging of one's government is one thing, but slagging of another person belief and religion is another thing. All religion teach us to be kind and good, does this mean yours teaches hate towards others...then maybe you should change religion!

Education: Malaysian education and universities have provided us with some great minds. We are far better of then the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, etc..Singapore and Brunei not included because they have so much money and very low population and land mass, they can spend any money they want on anything...even at buying clever minds! So you cant make it to a local university but does it give you the right to slag the whole system? What about the chinese who do make it to local universities? Are they also wrong?

What bugs me is that you don't understand the difference between "institution" and "government". Institution is King, Country, Flag, National Anthem...these wont change..a Government can.. So its not right to complain about the government and its policy via the Negara Ku...the Negara Ku is sacred its symbolises Malaysia and its People (Past, Present and Future Generation). Just imagine if your great grandfathers didn't leave China for a better place in this world, you would be competing with 1 Billion other Chinese, now you only need to compete with 20 Million Malaysians, so do the math..where do you think you have a better chance...life is never fair but 20 Million is better odds.. Asians aren't flag burning and national anthem desecrating societies...that's the western way, have pride in our "Institutions" and be critical to the government constructively. Raving and ranting (and calling it Rap) without manners reflects on you and the parents who brought you up. By the way putting that talent of yours into becoming the first "Real" chinese rap artist could be a better way to spend all that energy.

Remember now they know your name and where you come from, they might not sue you (TDC might sue you for using their promotional clip), but your life will not be the same again..trust me...i would think of migrating if i were you...yup bring along the family too...by the way if you choose Taiwan...its not really a country! China sounds ok but remember 1 Billion other Chinese....ah yes Mat Saleh countries..Canada, Australia, New Zealand, America..etc....well you would be a insignificant immigrant there but i guess that's ok..the money looks good and you can live on a borrowed lifestyle... maybe when you are 60 years old, Malaysians would have forgotten or forgiven you about what you have said about us..and you can come back to die in Muar.

My advice is open your eyes and see, read and understand more, analyse wisely, then only say it...

By the way some clever Malay boy will put up a rap video about the chinese in Malaysia soon...and yes it will also hurt... see what you have started...have you read all the hate that is flying about...you are a silly, ignorant and selfish boy.

So to the MCA...will you uphold what what you are preaching.. "Movement chief Datuk Liow Tiong Lai said the spirit of the Constitution must be preserved for a long time for the sake of the future generation and the document must be the reference point." Are you really serious in forgiving a Malaysian that desecrates his own National anthem and slags other races and religion...

FAM You Suck - Malaysian Football (Soccer)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/RrFUgQeBQ8I/AAAAAAAAAB0/PckrWYRx5iE/s320/FAM01.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093945566686168002" />
FAM YOU SUCK!

Not much more I can say about Malaysian Soccer that has not been said and written already.

The FAM (Football Association of Malaysia) : actually stands for (Foolish Amaturish Morons). The FAM doesn't understand the words planning, management, development, achievement, progress or football. Someone with the power, please change everyone that is in the FAM or set up another association that can eat sleep work football....do something...kill this cancer that starts from the brain..not that FAM has a brain.

The Coaching : Trust me no local coaches are up to par. If not why would Japan, Korea, China, Portugal etc all hire foreign coaches. Malaysian Coaches suck as players and suck as coaches.

Managers : They suck to, if not why isn't there improvement over 30 years...

Players : No fundamentals (FAM's fault not implementing the correct fundamentals at all primary and high school), lack ambition, eat to much Maggi Mee, cant see or smell the money. Local "professional players" think RM5000.00 a month paying for Perlis (which of course Perlis cant pay) is already a wet dream. I know that most of you all only managed High School education, but wake up real professional are making RM700,000.00 a week. If you get past the Perlis dream and come to make 10% of RM700,000.00 (that is RM70,000.00 for the math retards)you would be a better player, playing in a better league, daily improving yourself. Have some ambition no need to make it to the Premier League, look at the J-League, Korean League, Chinese League, Arab Leagues...good enuff! Forget the Perlis, Maggi Mee, and RM5000.00...Think J-League, RM70,000 a week, Japanese girls etc... Eat, Sleep, Work Soccer...everything else is irrelevant.

Tournaments : Merdeka Cup - FAM killed probably the 1st International Football Tournament in Asia along time ago. M-League - Amaturish, not interest, predictable. School Boys play better! Asian Cup - Shameful, disgusting and unfair to teams that should have been there by merit. FAM please don't host tournaments as a short cut to qualifying. Its a waste of good money. Local Fans are not idiots, FAM is.

Facilities : The only positive thing, we have the best. Third world African countries like Nigeria, Cameroon without real soccer fields have produced world class players. Even Vietnamese and Cambodians play better soccer, they all don't have our facilities. Soon some Island nation with less then 50 people will beat us at soccer.

To summarize it all..FAM you have killed Malaysian Soccer with incompetent planning, management, implementation etc...FAM YOU SUCK!

Parking at Zoo Negara Malaysia

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0IeJjBxjvB0/RmUBTiaI2wI/AAAAAAAAABs/6O55VNgcBpk/s320/zoo1.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5072461990468311810" />
The Zoo Negara Management is the worst f..kheads when it come to traffic management. And yet until today the amount of pollutants that goes into it is devastating and is at a critical point. The government via various Ministeries and DID (Department of Irrigation & Drainage) have spent hundreds of millions of dollars already into cleaning up the rivers. Yet yesterday our PM again spurred on another campaign to clean up rivers. He said he has told all the Chief Ministers of each state to make it their special project.

I tell you its not goin to work, why?

- There in no precise plan with a federal mandate to do it, State Chief Ministers already have so many other problems on their agenda and they will assign it to some incompetent department head to look into the matter...we all know what the agenda of the HOD (Head of department) is...

- developers, factory and farm owners couldnt careless about the environment let alone rivers...they will pay someone off to get things done their way...or look the other way..

- developers of housing schemes and infrastructural projects are the worst offenders, development environmental reports always pro the developers since the consultants writting it is under their payroll. Every report will conclude with "....the proposed development will only minimally effect the surrounding natural environment....", so erosion and siltation caused by clearing of once vegetated hills ends up into rivers, this is happening no matter what the DOE guidelines is....developers make payoffs all the time...

- factory owners couldnt careless, fine is too minimal, what is RM25,000.00 when they rake in millions...even Gardenia the bread maker is a caught doing it...waste oils, petrochemicals, by products, solid waste, leachate...

- farmers (including big plantations and livestock framers) are doing it... fertilizers, manure, urea, trople super phosphate, potassium cloride, growth stimulant ZA, pesticides and fungicides all seep into the ground and end up in rivers...

- construction of 'squatter houses' along rivers are still going on... the amount of human and solid waste that goes into the rivers from these 'squater communities' are unbelievable...

- hey, its taking DID some 14 years to complete some river realignment project in Gombak, their excuse is the the contractor got sub-contractor problems...dont insult me.. the contractor should have been sacked for non completion years ago..at end of his contract period...not 14 years and its still not finished...So can we depend on DID to solve our river problems? They can't even realign a river in Gombak, after 14 years and RM250million someone is getting rich... maybe BPR should investigate...

- public civil mindedness and common sense on the matter is minimal... malaysian public couldn't careless..

What can we do...

1. Education: Educate everyone from the young to the old, DID or whatever ministries should have never ending campaigns. Go to where the people are, be in the malls every friday, saturday and sunday...be in the schools and colleges...have pamplets everywhere..

2. Enforcement : Dont just say it...enforce, enforce it....have a police division just in charge of rivers. Tear down every squatter house along rivers. Banned the erection of any structure along river setback zones. People with TOL permits are not to build anything apart from simple bridges crossing the rivers. Nursery operators are not allowed along rivers, they have housing for workers..where does the waste go to...also chemicals used for plants seeps into the ground and contributes to river pollution. Make sure all factories built are with adequate chemical waste traps and make sure they exist...Curb illegal dumping...Make all those found guilty pay huge summons (in millions) and face jail time.

3. Each state DID division for river management should check all rivers all the time, with access to helicopters or small survaillance planes, maybe share it with the "River Police". They should be able investigate any cutting of hills and forest even those not located near rivers to see if it does effect the nearby rivers. Cutting of hills and forest usually will effect rivers that are presumably miles away.

4. Government to offer rewards to anyone exposing river polluters.

5. For the general public.. just stop throwing things into the river..anything...dont even spit into rivers...

6. For the Government...since you are goin to spend the money anyways, spend the money wisely, tax payers are paying for it...check all money spent... and stop making it an election issue. photo/mileage opportunuity or campaign...its an everyday issue...

7. For the Federal Minister in charge, get out of that expensive monkey suit and go out there and see it for youself.. it is a real problem...

http://www.ecologyasia.com/html-newsurl/west-malaysia_water.htm

any comments...

Old Post from original everydaymalay : "I sound stupid when I speak Malay....."

<img style="float:right; They send you on an assignment and you became a NO SHOW due to as you put it as small issue on ''what dress to wear"... if it is a small issue then my advice is wear what your bosses tell you to wear unless its totally degrading, from photo in paper does not seem so. "What dress to wear" is only a problem for normal women going out of the house. Not problem for professionals on a paid salary. NO SHOW is not professional it is childish wasting good corporate money. If I were your bosses I would sack you and made sure you dont get another job in the industry. You are the obvious example of that not so famous mediocre personality that have become big headed.... well here is news for you... big corporate organizations dont owe you a living, you owe them! They will survive nicely without you and find a replacement in a split second and still will make tons of money. A majority of Malaysian drivers lacks common sense, civil mindedness, proper road manners and level of civil education to care enough about anything. 5 to 10 years is to long, we need results by the next festive season.

My suggestion is : Apart from the new proposed MIROS curriculum, JPJ should enforce refresher (paper & physical) courses for all drivers. No exams necessary but those renewing licenses but attend a week prior. Courses can be held at driving schools for a minimal fee. Not lengthy courses 2 hours maximum.

Those between 16 to 25 years old should do it every year prior to renewing licences (no more 10year licences)...renew every year. 25 to 35 yrs refresher courses every 2 years. 35 to 55 every 3 years. 55 and above every 5years. Yearly licence renewal would make it easier to revoke those who break traffic laws. All seems harsh but that is the only way. Having to contend with Mat Rempit is one thing, mat rempit with cars is another thing. P drivers must not have traffic offenses (parking or speeding) if they want a full license to be issued. Also P drivers are not allowed to drive interstate without a full license individual sitting next to them in the car. They also cannot drive interstate during festive season with or without full licensed companion.

Put it this way Malaysian Drivers are just idiots at road manners, no matter how well educated they are. Its a mystifying fact.

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/4/22/focus/20070422073938&sec=focus&focus=1
